Bethany means learning to manage feelings-

Everyday I go to school, I always enjoy Bethany. I like Bethany because the teachers always try to help you learn and the students are very welcoming. There are always entertaining  opportunities, as well as equal privileges. When I walk into school, I always feel a warm glow. I always feel safe as I go play outside, run in gym, or solve a math equation. On top of all that, we also spend time learning about the Bible and find out ways to control your feelings in a program called Second Step. That program has saved me many times when I was going to have a epic melt down. Bethany also has very healthy food, but tasty enough so kids like them. Along with that, they also have  many types of food, and offer something to eat if you forget to bring a lunch. These are only some of many ways I like Bethany. Bethany means recess-

Bethany Lutheran Church and School means a lot to me. Bethany means a lot to me and is important to me because I get to learn about Jesus and all of the stories in the bible and there are lots of great people here. I am so glad I go to Bethany because first, there are no bullies and mean people and it is a place where I get to feel loved and appreciated. I like that Bethany has a great educational program and still has recess in middle school! It is really funny when I go to gymnastics and tell people something fun I did at recess and they go “You still have recess! Lucky!” I love Bethany’s staff and students. This is my second family. Thank you all for everything you’ve done for me to make me a smart person and an example for the lower grades!

Bethany means a warm welcome-

Bethany is a school to learn from all the teachers you have from Preschool to Eighth Grade. To me Bethany is a safe place to have spiritual worship in religion classes and in chapel, which are on Wednesdays. When I walk down the hallways all I see are kids who are blessed to be at this school. What Bethany means to me is a place to laugh and play. It also means to learn God’s word from our friends, teachers, and pastors. I came to Bethany in my first year of middle school. On the first day of sixth grade I remember everyone being so welcoming to me when I walked in through the school doors. The reason why I came to Bethany is because I had a bad experience in public school because I got bullied a lot. After coming to Bethany my life has changed forever.

Bethany means a firm foundation-

Bethany is important to me because I get to learn about God almost every day. At public schools, that does not happen. I like the environment at Bethany and the people. I also like that Bethany lets me know what is right and wrong before I go to a public school. I have been at Bethany for seven years and I feel comfortable to go to a public school and make the right decisions. I am very grateful that my parents sent me to Bethany. Bethany means fun activities-

Bethany Lutheran School means a lot to me because I can do subjects and learn about God at the same time. What I also like about Bethany is that on some days we have a morning recess and some days we have music. I also like to eat lunch even though it is a little late. In my perspective I think that I learn a lot from my teacher, Mrs. Stehle!

Also I like Friday because that’s the last day of school for the week before the weekend!

To end the school year all up we have a day called Field Day. Field Day is a day where it is the last day of school and there is so much that it is chaos! Bethany Lutheran School is awesome!!!!

Bethany means being treated fairly-

Bethany means to me that everyone will be treated fairly and kept safe. I think that I am a lucky boy because my parents send me to this school, and all that time and money that they put into it. I feel comfortable with all my teachers and friends around me. I would recommend Bethany for a school. (Written by an upper elementary student.)

Bethany means a loving staff-

Bethany means a place where people have the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ, God, The Holy Spirit and grow their faith. Bethany is a place with a kind community and loving staff. Classwork helps me grow into a great student.  I learn a lot and receive a great education, Bethany is a great place. (Written by an upper elementary student.)

Bethany means the Word of God everyday-

Bethany is a fantastic school. I have been here for eight years, and it has changed the way I see things and the way I handle things. My parents came to Bethany to meet the staff and see what it was like. When they did that, they knew it was the school for me. All the staff were incredibly nice and were teaching their students what is right and what is wrong. Since I have been at Bethany we hear the word of God every day. We also pray during the morning, before lunch, after lunch, and before we leave. In junior high, the pastors also come in and teach us on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I am so thankful that the staff here at Bethany teaches us what is right and what is wrong because once we go to high school, we will experience more things. The experiences in high school will be much different. Bethany prepares us for these things and teaches us to do what is right.

In sixth grade I won the Christian Leadership Award and it was because of how my parents and Bethany taught me to be. I also like Bethany because it is a small school and there is more one on one with the teacher. Since this school is raising us in our faith, the kids around me are also extremely nice. Bethany does not have tryouts for their sports, so all kids are welcome. At Bethany, I participate in basketball, cross country, track, and the choir program. They also have an extremely talented staff for their sports that help me develop different talents.

For my eight years I have been here, I have learned to accept others, don’t doubt myself, be kind to others, do what is right, and many more, but most importantly, always stay strong in your faith. (Written by a Jr. High student.)

Bethany means knowing right from wrong-

This is my tenth year at Bethany and I love this school so much! The teachers and staff here are so nice and very compassionate and give good examples to all the students. Bethany is very important to me, because I want to be around my fellow Christian friends who have the same beliefs as me. I am so happy with my class we all have known each other so long and get along very well. Bethany has taught me to be kind and to have compassion towards others. Also Bethany has taught me to be strong in my beliefs and stand up for what is right. I also love the fact that we still have recess to be able to talk to friends and socialize with one another, it gives us a good break from school work. Also Bethany shields me from the outside world with many bad things I do not believe in while I am young so I know and learn what is right and wrong. I am so glad my parents had me go to Bethany. It encourage me to follow my dreams and beliefs. In Bethany no one is a stranger everyone gets along and knows each other. Also, I love how the congregation takes care of each other and helps anyone in need. I love this school so much and I do not know how I would be without it today. I am very grateful for this school and would not have it any other way. I am sad to have to leave in two years I wish I could stay in Bethany forever. All and all, Bethany means so much to me and is a very important part of my life. I will never forget my friends and all my experiences here they will stay in my heart forever, and I will take all my experiences and memories here to high school for comfort.

Bethany means learning about the Triune God-

When we go to school, you never really put much thought into why you go there. As our future ages, parents want their children to go to school feeling safe and protected at all times. Though sometimes things happen which cause parents to think twice before sending their child to a school. I currently go to a school called Bethany Lutheran School which is a church and a school mixed together. We worship God and talk about how Jesus died for us on the cross. There are friendly teachers who help us students to understand the subject better and help when we do need help either physically or mentally. Bethany Lutheran School is a private school unlike some schools that are public. The difference between a public school and a private school is that a private school has a smaller class size than most public schools and private schools usually have the students learn about religions and holidays as for public schools they don’t. I like Bethany because of this reason because, you would send your child to school assuming that they are learning the basic fundamentals of learning and about whatever religion you believe in. I believe in the Triune God and his holy Son Jesus Christ, and when I go to school, I know that we will talk more about him. I may go to school to learn about things and that my parents force me to go, but I do enjoy going. The friends and teachers are extremely friendly in this school environment, and Bethany has a strong discipline for students. We learn how to get along with each other and since we would all believe in the same true God, we help each other by using that to understand everyone around us. I also like Bethany because of the subjects we learn, and the challenges that they give. Overcoming these challenges when it comes to learning helps me do better in life to look at all sides of the problem. The teachers usually fill in the part of where they help us, and as they help us we eventually overcome these challenges. Bethany isn’t just an average school I go to every day, it’s a place of learning and God. Bethany is important to me because of the friends you make and how we can all unite as one and overcome the challenges. Bethany is truly another part of my life that helps me realize how it can truly impact you.  As for public schools, there are things that people don’t usually agree with which cause fights, uproars, and many other issues where at the end we just don’t get along. Though at Bethany and other private schools, we are all on the same topic and give our opinions on it. Though we have our fights and problems, we end up working it out together and figuring out how we can further prevent this. What also makes Bethany better than most schools though is the music, arts, and activities they provide to us. This helps us find who we really are and what our passion is which makes us to the people we are today. This helps us to be more open to such activities and helps us to cooperate with most things. I agree with what Bethany says and do, and I have a hope to stay here for a long time. When I start growing up, I will go to high school away from Bethany, but I would use the fundamentals that they have taught us which would help me become a much better person. Bethany indeed is a wondrous school who will help the young grow as the old learn. (Written by a Jr. High student.)

Bethany means safety-

Bethany means almost everything to me. I never want to leave but I don’t really have a choice about that. The best part is my class, I love my classmates, all of them. What I like about Bethany is because they offer band, basketball, and other activities that are fun or others.
Bethany is important to me because there isn’t swearing, inappropriate behavior, shootings, or danger here. I have the comfort of knowing that I can walk in, and feel safe.

Bethany means a bright future-

(This was written by a student in our Jr. High, with the prompt, "What does Bethany mean to you?").

What does Bethany mean to me? If you were to ask me that, you would probably think that I would tell you that I am protected from the outside world, but that is not what I would say. I would tell you that to me it means that on a daily basis I get the privilege of learning about God and the outside world. Why do we learn about the outside world you may ask, well we have to be ready for when we go to high school, college, and our life after college. So to me, Bethany means that it will prepare me for the future, no matter what it holds.

Another question you may ask is, what do you like about Bethany? I have many answers for that question. I have been at Bethany for only seven years, and through these years I have made great friends. They friends I have made here are like my second family that I can trust with anything. I hangout with my friends whenever I can and they always make the day interesting. I have one friend that left in sixth grade and we still hang out whenever we can to just catch up and because she meets new people, I get to meet her friends and become friends with them. Another thing that I like about Bethany is that since it is many grades (preschool- eighth grade), I got to start sports earlier than public schools. We get to start track in fourth grade and volleyball, basketball, and cheer when we are in fifth grade.
