Senior Spotlight! Corban has had a great 4 years at Naperville Central! He's spent time volunteering at various Mission Trips in Michigan and Wisconsin, repairing and repainting houses. He's about to leave for Mexico to build houses with his Youth Group! So far his favorite class was his automotive class where he learned how to dismantle and put together engines, transmissions, and axels. His dream would be to design and work on Nascars. His

favorite memory of Bethany was Walcamp because of the connections made with the rest of the class. He'd like to thank Mrs. Dunwell for being like the "class mom." This fall brings College of DuPage where he'll continue his automotive training as well as playing the guitar.

Corban, we are so proud of all the ways you've shown love to friends and strangers alike, and we cannot wait to see how God uses you in this next chapter of your life! God's richest blessings to you!!

Senior Spotlight! Alex attended Joliet Catholic Academy where she was an Honors student and inducted into the National Honor Society her Junior and Senior year. She ran track, played tennis and played volleyball. She was involved in the Medical Science Club, ACDC (Accepting Cultural Diversity Club) and volunteered at St. Joesph Hospital and Bolingbrook Hospital throughout high school. Alex will be attending Loyola University in Chicago accepted into the Pre-Med/Neuroscience program. She says she is excited to finally be on a path to becoming a doctor!

From Alex: I loved Bethany School I was very prepared for high school, I never felt like I lacked in any subject and actually felt like I was more prepared in some subjects. I made some lasting friendships at Bethany and for that I’m thankful! My favorite memory is still Walcamp it was so much fun to bond with my friends and we had a blast! 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐌𝐬. Jill and Tom: As parents we never once regretted our decision to send our child to Bethany. It surpassed all of our expectations (and from parents of an only child…you can only imagine-LOL). Every teacher and staff member were accessible and communication was top notch! She is thriving as she enters into her next step of college and we attribute much of that to her primary years. Thank You!

Alex, your future is so bright! We are so proud of the way you will serve others in your vocation. May God guide your every step!

Senior SpotlightToday we congratulate Class of 2019 graduate, Jenna! Here's a note from her proud parents:

Jenna did great transitioning from Bethany to Joliet Catholic Academy. She didn't have any issues with learning. In fact, I think Bethany students are ahead academically, when entering High School. She was honored over her 4 years, with 3 certificate awards for excelling in her classes. She received these from her Math, Biology & Spanish teachers.

Jenna was also inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society, the Math National Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta), and the Art National Honor Society. She provided over 100 hours of volunteering in the community during her 4 years, and will continue to give back. She will be attending Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, in the fall, for a career as a Child Psychologist. We are more than proud and thank God that he continues to bless her!

Jenna, we pray for God's continued provision for you! We can't wait to see how He moves in your life!

Senior Spotlight! Today we celebrate Class of 2019 graduate, Caitlin! Caitlin was accepted into a very competitive 5 year combined Undergraduate and PA program at Valparaiso University. She will be completing her undergraduate education in 3 years, and then will automatically be enrolled in their graduate Physician Assistant program. She also received the Presidential Scholarship that will cover her entire tuition.

Caitlin has fond memories of serving as the student council president and helping plan the school events and fundraisers! Her favorite memories of her time at Bethany was performing as the lead role, Marian, in The Music Man! Having her peers watch the hard work she put in the musical made it all the better. She sends a special shout out to Mr. Johnson for helping her remain an academically curious student and Mrs. Staunch for allowing her to express her thoughts through art.

We are SO PROUD and can't wait to see how God uses Caitlin in her future. God's richest blessings to you, Caitlin!

Senior Spotlight! Today we celebrate our 2019 Valedictorian, Sydney! Here's a note from her mom:

I would like to introduce Sydney. She was Bethany’s class valedictorian for 2019 and currently a Senior at Bolingbrook High School. During her time at BHS, she has been recognized academically as one of the top 20 students of her class each year. Sydney is an Ambassador Girl Scout, holds a command staff position on BHS’s Air Force Junior ROTC, and an Illinois state scholar. As a member of the National Honor, the World Language Honor, and the AFJROTC’s Kitty Hawk Honor Societies, she has earned hundreds of volunteer service hours. Most recently, Sydney tested for, and has earned a seal of biliteracy in French. She has also figure skated since age 7 and has earned USFSA the highest testing awards in Moves in the field, Ice Dance, and Solo Free Dance.

Sydney has accepted an offer from Lewis University. She will be studying Chemistry with plans for advanced degrees in the future. As a parent, I witness daily the Christian principals and values she learned during her Lutheran education at Bethany. We are both grateful 8 years spent at Bethany.

Sydney, you continue to amaze us with your grace and grit! We couldn't be more proud of everything you've accomplished these past years and we will pray for your continued blessings in Jesus' name!

She attended Bethany from Pre-K--8th grade and we are grateful for the Christian foundation and academic growth that prepared her for the high school years. Senior Spotlight!Katie will be attending St. Louis University in the fall and majoring in Physical Therapy. She will also be part of the D1 track and field team there. Throughout her time at Montini, Katie was vice president of her class, a leader of many religious retreats, and the captain of the track and field team.

A few comments from Katie: The best part of attending Bethany is that it truly was a family. I was able to know everyone on a more personal level. My favorite memory was winning state track with a group of admirable girls. I would like to thank every faculty at Bethany. I feel that every person I came in contact with had an impact on who I am today. I would specifically like to thank Mrs. Dunwell for all she has done. She was like a second mom to me. I would also like to thank Mrs. Fox. I knew her for the shortest period of time, but it feels like I have known her since birth. Her contagious smile never fails to light up a room. Lastly, I would like to thank Coach Guenther. Most people know him as the track coach, but he was so much more than that. He was someone who cared about every single person, not only as an athlete, but as a whole person. He set an amazing example for any kid that he came in contact with.

Katie, we are so so proud of your hard work, dedication, and demonstration of God's love to everyone in your world. We pray for His continued hand on your life, and we wish you the very best!

Senior Spotlight! Let's take a moment to celebrate Andrea! Here's a quick note from her parents: After 11 years at Bethany and 4 years at Joliet Catholic Academy, Andrea is headed to Loyola in the fall! She was well prepared for high school and is planning to study International Business. We are so thankful for her time at Bethany. We loved the fact that every subject could incorporate Jesus in some way and help the kids to learn not just academics, but a strong Biblical foundation for life going forward. It was always comforting to know that she was in a school where she was surrounded by teachers and staff who genuinely cared about her and our family. We all made wonderful friends during our school years at Bethany, attending volleyball games, track meets, musicals, and so many other events together. We loved watching all of the kids in her class grow up together in faith and friendship over our years in school there. We wish Andrea and all of the other Bethany graduates this year best wishes, and look forward to seeing what they do next. The D'Amico Family

We give thanks to God for the firm foundation of faith given to Andrea. We are so proud of you, and we pray for His blessings upon every step!

Isabel loves Interior Design!

“Isabel Brouch is graduating from Neuqua Valley High School and will be attending Western Michigan University this fall. While at Neuqua she enjoyed exploring interior design and took classes that are helping her continue that pursuit at WMU. She also participated in track & field, met many new friends, and transitioned to Neuqua very well from Bethany Lutheran School. We are thankful for the foundation of faith given through her education at Bethany. Thank you to all of Bethany's teachers for being a Christian role model for her. Music and Arts have influenced Jacqueline

Alumni Spotlight! Here's a note from Jacqueline's mom and dad:

During our recent college exploration journey we were able to look back on our time at BLS with fond memories and gratefulness. We have come to realize how well prepared for high school the Flood kids were coming out of BLS. Jacqueline, Gavin and Jillian are all thriving at Naperville North given the faith, skills, rigor and knowledge Bethany instilled on a daily basis. We are proud parents of some amazing people.

Susan and I are extremely proud to share that Jacqueline will be attending DePaul University this fall having been accepted to the Digital & Cinema studies program. We have come to find out that is the #2 program in the country (who knew)! As a former member of the Bethany Music Ensemble, the staff may be pleased to know that Jacqueline was an integral part of the NNHS Marching Band all four years and served as Senior Drum Major during her senior year. We thank you for sharing the gift of music with her and providing the spark to take advantage of Marching Band as a bridge to a community within the much larger world of Naperville North. We will keep you updated as Jacqueline's journey continues to Lincoln Park and as her budding career blossoms! Please find photos to share.

Wishing you & yours, and the entire staff peace, joy, good health & LOVE. - J&S

We couldn't be happier to read this, and we pray for God's richest blessings on the entire Flood family, and Jacqueline in particular as she heads off to college. We will pray for your journey in His name! #bethanyproud #Sent2Serve
