Kindergarten at Bethany

Can we talk about Kindergarten for a minute? Please honestly consider sending your child to our Bethany Lutheran Kindergarten next year. We have a loving class: well-behaved, hard-working, joyful, happy to be in person...Our Saxon Math program and Scott Forseman Literacy program encourage a love of learning.

We teach the mechanics of handwriting, we have art, music, and PE. We have 2 recesses, a rest time, and a free choice time for BIG socialization. We have incredible teachers and cover additional core subjects, but most of all, we teach these children they are loved by a God who knows them by name. We are having a GREAT year in person - don't take a chance on what next year might bring. Tour with Linda Fox (LFOX@bethanylcs.org) in person or virtually! We'd love to have you join our Bethany Family! #bethanyproud #Sent2Serve

So Many Blessings

Are you considering Bethany for your child? Here's an email I just received from one of our newest families, and I pray it helps you with your decision! #bethanyproud #Sent2Serve

We feel so incredibly blessed that God brought us to Bethany! It might not have happened but for the pandemic. Amazing how His plan comes together. We have so many things to be thankful for this year and finding BLS is definitely at the top of our list! I can’t say enough how blessed we feel and I hope it can help others who might be considering Bethany. I know it's tough making big decisions for your children but the experience has been priceless for us.

A Precious Testimonial

We LOVE what we do, but hearing how parents appreciate it means the world to us. Check this incredible testimonial below. To God be all glory! #bethanyproud #Sent2Serve

Becoming part of the Bethany Lutheran School family is truly a blessing for us this year. In-person learning is a priority for our Kindergartener, 1st and 3rd Grader and we are grateful for this school and the dedicated staff. It has turned into so much more than just having a place for our kids to learn. The friendly, caring and respectful environment that everyone has created at BLS is visible on so many levels. My children are happy to go to school each day and come home with smiling faces and stories to share about their fun day of learning. The staff are all so kind and encouraging and I appreciate the way they are shaping these young minds while providing a strong academic curriculum. The energy and passion they have for education and religion shines through their daily lessons with my children as well as in parent emails when providing classroom updates. Our hearts are full, and we thank God each day for the amazing Bethany Lutheran School family.

Day of Service

Here are a few more pictures of our Day of Service! Kindergarten sent our Thank you Veterans Video to be played at Hines VA Hospital and notes to nursing homes, 1st grade is focusing on thank you notes for essential workers and made dog treats for a local shelter, 2nd grade is making bracelets for MOST Ministries, 3rd grade is making bracelets and decorating our Bethany Campus for Christmas, and 4 - 8th grade are cleaning up Modaff Road to beautify Naperville! #bethanyproud #sent2serve

Mission Minded

As part of our Day of Service, our 2nd graders are making bracelets to send to MOST Ministries. This group focuses on short term missions to spread the Gospel of Jesus to those who don't know Him. MOST uses each of the beads to explain about Christianity, and we are thrilled to partner with them in this mission! We used a Thrivent Action Team to purchase the supplies; they sent us t-shirts which the kids can take home. We love our Day of Service! #bethanyproud #sent2serve #livegenerously

Cross Country Banquet

Last night we celebrated a very special ending to a cross country season with an outdoor bonfire! We are so thankful to our coaches, parents, and students for a wonderful cross country season. We are so proud of the effort that our students put in. We had some first timers, some seasoned veterans, and some in between. Here’s praying for a track season to follow! #Bethanyproud

Our Rock Star Runner!

October 26 was Sydney Gertsen day in recognition of our 2019 National Cross County Champion! Sydney is currently a 7th grader and remained undefeated in this year's cross country season. We celebrated her in ROYAL fashion with a banner, mask, and treating her to a freaky fast Jimmy John's lunch. All classes enjoyed extra recess minutes to celebrate! Way to go Sydney! #bethanyproud

Train up a child...

We are so thankful to Richard Wistocki with Be Sure Consulting for his incredible presentation about Internet safety today. Ask your fourth through eighth graders what they learned!

We will also be sending home parent videos so you can learn more. These videos will empower you to have meaningful conversations with your child at home.

We love partnering with parents to train up a child in the way that he should go! #Bethanyproud #sent2serve
