Congratulations to our Boys Varsity Volleyball Team, and especially to our 8th graders on their incredible journey. The boys played their last home game last night to a joyous crowd! These boys were on our State Championship team last year, as well as 2nd place finishes the two years previous. We are so thankful to their parents, coaches, and fans who have supported this program since 5th grade. Congratulations, boys, on a tremendous 4 years. You've come so far, and we can't wait to see your light shine as you continue onto High School! #bethanyproud #endure

We teach cursive handwriting so that children can read our founding documents AND their grandmother's birthday cards!
What are the benefits of learning to write in cursive? See below! Proud that Bethany Lutheran School Naperville, IL teaches our students to write in cursive! #bethanyproud #endure
𝐂𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: The flowing motion of cursive writing stimulates brain synapses and improves working memory.
𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: Cursive writing requires the use of small muscles in the hands and fingers to form letters.
𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Cursive writing stimulates the part of the brain that develops language skills, which can improve reading and spelling skills.
𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: Cursive can help you write faster and more efficiently.
𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡: Cursive writing can help reduce stress, increase focus and concentration, and improve overall brain function.
𝐃𝐲𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐚: Cursive writing can help dyslexic learners strengthen their handwriting and understanding of letter formation.
𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: Cursive writing can improve comprehension because it requires students to retain more information than typing notes verbatim.

September brings all things apples for our littlest students!
You know the kids are back in school when the apples come out! Our youngest Bethany students enjoyed an apple taste test, sensory bins, and a sweet little birthday treat. They kids spent some beautiful time outside on our newly-renovated playground! What a joy it is to be little! #bethanyproud #endure
2024 - 2025 Chapel Offerings
This year’s chapel offerings will be going to our district’s mission “Hearts for Jesus 2024- 2025”. We will be raising funds to start the process to replace the playground through the Belize Mission Society. The current playground at St. Alphonsus School in Seine Bight, Belize has been decaying and is no longer a safe environment for the 200+ students. This playground is next to Christ Lutheran Church where the message of Jesus is proclaimed in Word and deed. We get to be good neighbors and then speak of the Living Hope we have in Our Savior. Like we desire to connect with our communities here, the mission in Seine Bight wants to connect with children and families for the sake of the Kingdom.
By investing in this project, we are not just building a playground; we are nurturing a generation to grow strong in faith and body, reflecting the divine care God has for each of His children. In Proverbs 22:6, we are reminded to “Train up a child in the way he should go,” highlighting our responsibility to create environments that foster healthy development. Thank you for your support!
