Packing Peanuts STEM
Our new Reading theme is Creative Ideas and we started off our unit by talking about inventors and how they have to problem solve when creating their inventions. We tested this by seeing who could create the tallest packing peanut structure in the time limit. We had previously discovered that the packing peanuts we used were actually made of potato starch so we could use the "lick-and-stick" method to build! (STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering and Math)

I Support Community
For our I Support Community service project we learned about physical differences. We did some activities to experience how life is different for people with vision impairments, hearing impairments or physical disabilities. We realized the need to show empathy! We also learned that Celebrate Differences is an organization in Oswego that works to support families of people with these special needs.
