We made 3 different examples of seeds. We each experimented to see which direction the seed should point, so that when dropped, it would avoid landing the “The Zone of Darkness” (the shady spot under the parent tree where it wouldn’t grow). Mrs. Janetzke did the final test, based on how we told her to drop it. We then analyzed the seed structure to see which design best allowed the seed to fall away from the tree.
