In Reading we are learning about the Desert habitat and practicing identifying main ideas and details. While we listened to the book Desert Giant- The World of the Saguaro Cactus, each student wrote down details on their sticky note. After the book, students got into groups to share their details with each other. After all details were shared in the group, group members had to come to a consensus to create a main idea sentence for the book. Each group then shared their work with their classmates.
