After learning about Martin Luther’s life, the events of the Reformation, and how that effects the Gospel we get to hear preached, we celebrated Reformation Day by making hammer snacks and watching “Echoes of the Hammer”, our elementary musical from 2 years ago which told the story of Martin Luther and the Reformation. We challenged ourselves to break apart Reese’s cups (to remind us of the 95 Theses) and put the peanut butter piece on a pretzel stick (to remind us of John Tetzel) to create a hammer so Martin can nail the 95 Theses to the church door. We determined our hammers were tastier than his!
