We learned about who Martin Luther King Jr. was and were surprised to find out that he was named after Martin Luther, who we studied earlier this year! We read a book called Martin’s Big Words and then did an activity to analyze some of his big words. Students worked in groups on the word analysis and then each made their own poster with their information and a self-portrait. Check out all our “Big Words” posters in the hallway!
