We had fun playing games to practice our MyPlate knowledge and writing about different foods.
Mrs. Schafer came in and talked to us about the importance of healthy eating and exercise. She even showed us what happens to our food after we put it in our mouth!

We experienced some new foods and many students found one they liked! We got to sample freeze-dried apples (astronaut food!), starfruit, mango, lychee, lentils, edemame, and red, yellow and orange peppers.
We met our 5th grade buddies and looked at their bug collections.
We practiced making long vowel words by matching a beginning letter to a VCe ending.

In Grammar we're practicing writing complete sentences and identifying the subject. We had fun writing 2 facts and a fib about pictures and then having a fib-finding friend identify our fib sentences!
Today in Math we practiced using pattern blocks to cover a shape outline. We then said how many of each block we used to create our shape. We were amazed at how different each person's was and enjoyed figuring out our classmate's puzzles as we tried to recreate their shape based on their numbers.
