Our Math lesson was on creating lines of symmetry so we each drew a symmetrical tree by folding a piece of paper and drawing half the tree, then cutting it out and unfolding. We also got to add symmetrical decorations by adding paint to one side, folding, pressing, and unfolding to see our beautiful tree!

Comfort Dogs
After reading the story Tara and Tiree: Fearless Friends, and learning about rescue dogs and service dogs, we got to meet two of the therapy dogs from the Lutheran Church Charities Comfort Dogs program. There are 130 dogs nationwide and they travel to areas after disasters, and visit nursing homes, schools, and hospitals to simply be a comfort to people who are hurting or need cheering up. Veterans Day/Grandparents Day
Before all the festivities started on Grandparents Day, Mr. Schafer, a veteran of the US Navy, came in and taught us about who veterans are and what he did during his time in the service.

Don't get eaten!
We learned about the different categories of the food chain and then each became a different prairie animal. We acted out the food chain and only 1 person survived at not getting eaten! The red fox ended up on top!
