This week’s album includes:

  • Building place value towers in Math with place value blocks, then drawing our total value

Week 23 pictures

This week’s album includes:

  • Phonemic awareness mystery words- each sound is represented by a specific picture. Students blend the sounds together from the pictures to sound out the word. Then, they had to apply the spelling patterns of those sounds to spell the word.

  • Playing “trashketball” in Spelling while practicing correctly using tricky word pairs.

  • Cutting out our tiger paper cuts to celebrate 2022 as the Year of the Tiger!

Week 19 pictures

Pictures from this week include:

  • Using dimes and pennies to act out regrouping during 2-digit addition.

  • Going on a matter hunt to find something to describe in the classroom.

  • Learning about Epiphany and chalking to door to celebrate the new year.

  • Going through the design process to create a cross sculpture with potato starch packing peanuts, which is an invention created to replace traditional Styrofoam packing peanuts that don’t break down in landfills. These will actually dissolve in water!

  • Describing matter using crackers. We also enjoyed getting to eat them once we were finished!
