Alyssa attended Bethany from kindergarten - 8th grade and graduated from Bolingbrook High School this past May. While in high school, Alyssa participated in theater all four years working on the sound crew, was a member of The Word (a student-led Bible study), and was a member of Art Club. She had multiple art pieces displayed in the Art Show the last three years and also won an Honorable Mention on one of her digital art pieces.

Alyssa will be attending Trinity Christian College in the fall where she will be studying Art Therapy. She hopes to use her God-given gifts of creativity to help others.

While at Bethany, Alyssa enjoyed Mr. Bremer's teaching style as well as his friendly attitude toward the students. One of her favorite Bethany memories is racing him in the rafts down the river on the 8th grade class trip! She also credits Mr. Johnson for introducing her to drawing techniques in the anime style, a style which shows up in much of her artwork.

A favorite Bible verse is Psalm 98 (the whole thing!) but in particular verse 1a: "Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things!"
