Today we honor Maya in our 8th grader spotlight! Maya has attended Bethany for the past 9 years. While at Bethany Maya was an honor roll student. She ran track and participated in band for one year. She also played a part in one of the musicals at Bethany. Maya has a love for sports and enjoyed competing on Bethany’s basketball and volleyball teams the past 4 years.

Maya’s favorite memories are from attending Walcamp and competing at the State Volleyball Tournament. She will be attending Downers Grove North in the Fall.

Her favorite bible verse is : Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Thank you, Maya, for reminding us that our trust is to be in the Lord, not in ourselves. He is big enough to get us through this valley. We will miss seeing you in our hallways and classrooms, and on our basket and volleyball court killing it! We know you will go onto to accomplish great things; come back and see us often!
